First use of Fasciotens in the NE India : A New Device & Technique for Complex Hernia Repair

2nd July, 2024 marked the beginning of our experience at Swagat Super speciality with the FASCIOTENS Hernia procedure, as we successfully performed it on a case of recurrent complex incisional hernia.

This innovative technique has shown great promise in managing such challenging cases.

Transitioning from robotic surgery back to conventional methods has been a demanding process. Unlearning and relearning conventional surgical techniques after becoming accustomed to robotic procedures is difficult, but not impossible.

During the procedure, the Fasciotens device enabled us to close the hernia without significant tension on the surgical site.
