Swagat Super Speciality Hospital, Guwahati, has created history by performing the first remote robotic gallbladder removal surgery in Eastern and Northeastern India. Two patients in Guwahati underwent the operation using the Made-in-India SSI Mantra Robotic System, while the lead surgeon, Prof. Subhash Khanna, controlled the robot from Gurgaon, nearly 1,950 kilometers away, to perform the surgery. Both patients are recovering well and are ready to be discharged within 24 hours.
